I have & most likely, this is because she has a short waist and is not wearing the right type of belt for her body shape.

As dressing is all about creating ‘optical illusions’ or ‘smoke and mirrors’ as I like to call it, when you wear the wrong style, you can create an illusion that is not as flattering as you would like.

Short or long waist –  carry out this simple exercise to find out whether you have a short or long waist. Follow the instructions below or watch my video at the top of this page. Tip: It’s easier if you watch the video![/fusion_text][fusion_imageframe lightbox=”no” gallery_id=”” lightbox_image=”” style_type=”none” hover_type=”none” bordercolor=”” bordersize=”0px” borderradius=”0″ stylecolor=”” align=”center” link=”” linktarget=”_self” animation_type=”0″ animation_direction=”down” animation_speed=”0.1″ animation_offset=”” hide_on_mobile=”no” class=”” id=””] [/fusion_imageframe][fusion_text]Get one hand, any hand, place that hand right under your bust, then take the other hand and place it directly under the 1st hand. Make sure the hands are touching each other. Where is your belly button, can you feel it under your bottom hand? If you can, then you have a short waist. If you can’t feel your belly button underneath the lower hand, then you have a long waist.

Why is knowing whether you have a short or long waist important? It’s important because it effects the width of belt which is the best for you.

Short waist girls are better of with thinner belts as it creates a longer look.

Girls who have a long waist can wear thick or thin belts.

And, it doesn’t matter whether you have a short or long waist, if you stick with this fairly simple style tip then your waist line will look perfect all of the time.[/fusion_text][/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
