“What to wear to Mother’s Day Brunch?”, I hear you ask.  This is a day that you should be absolutely comfortable in your clothes and pre-prepping what you’re going to wear is really the easiest way to ensure that you can get dressed in no time as well as feel good throughout the day.

So I’ve put together a few different looks depending on where you live and what the weather might be doing that day! Here goes!

What To Wear To Mother’s Day Brunch For A Cooler Climate!

For a cooler climate I’ve chosen elements which you can layer.  I’ve gone with a skinny pair of jeans because both sweaters shown here are on the looser side and to create the right balance in your outfit, you need to pair it with a skinnier pair of jeans.

Plus, if you’re wearing a boot, like the biker style I’ve pictured here, a skinnier pair of jeans is going to work better than any other style.

If you like a higher neck, the sweater on the left is perfect for you. But to create a slimmer look, wear a necklace which is long and say knotted in the middle so it falls around chest height.  This creates the optical illusion of a v-neck, which we all know is the most flattering of all necklines.

You can pair your sweater if it’s cooler with a biker jacket – a great look for any modern mum or if you’d like to go a little more classic a trench coat is perfect to complete your outfit!

If you’re in a warmer climate, then the question of what to wear for Mother’s Day brunch is answered quite simply – a dress!

It’s the perfect option to keep you looking cool and feeling comfortable and confident on warmer days.

I love both of these styles as they show off and shape your waistline perfectly.  The length you choose to go is really up to you.  Try a shorter length if you want to show off your pins; but if sometimes you feel a little funny about exposing those legs before you can get a fake tan, well the longer style of skirt will keep you covered up but looking like Spring!

A wedge heel is awesome if you’d like some extra height, but the kitten heel goes perfectly with any occasion!

Because I’m in a warmer climate I’ve decided to welcome this years Mother’s Day with a dress. Bought on sale from Forever New, I really have been eager to show this dress off.

A high low hem covers and shows off a bit of leg when I’m walking, yet gives me a little more coverage since I don’t really have time to grab a fake tan before Sunday.

The drawstring waistline shapes my straight middle and gives my hips a little more width so I look a little bit more like an hourglass and less like a rectangle.

But as I really enjoy my comfort I’m going to pair this outfit with my new favourite bright red slides. They’ve got the cutest fringing on the front and because they were made especially for my foot, well, comfort is guaranteed.

However, whatever you do this Mother’s Day, make sure you enjoy your special day. Drink in your family and the love which will be bestowed on you because of all the love you share!
