Gotta love a country wedding. It’s become more popular over the last few years as the style is casual and less conventional. When I think of the styles that would be beautiful at a country wedding, the images that come to mind are flowy fabrics that move beautifully as you walk.

How about colour? Some associate earthy tones with rustic weddings; however, if they are not your thing, try something bright instead whether it be a pattern or a plain block colour.

The sheath dress is a classic, form-fitting style made to show off your curves without being too tight. They are often knee-length with a straight, column silhouette. It’s a timeless choice for formal and non-formal occasions and is perfect for a rustic wedding.

Farm Rio has some gorgeous dresses that work perfectly for a rustic wedding. The patterns are just gorgeous. The v-neck is a slimming style as it draws the eye to the centre and smallest part of your body.  A belt helps to defined the waist and the ruffled hem creates balance with the puffed sleeve.

This green dress from Forever New has that fit and flare style that is flattering on everyone. This is the perfect style that can be worn to a rustic-style wedding and a more formal occasion. Just swap out your accessories. It’s that simple.

A fit and flare dress is one of the most flattering styles around. It’s fitted through the bodice and then flares from the hip down to create an hourglass silhouette.

Dresses that Flow

This beautiful floral dress, also by Spell, is another flattering style. The lightly gathered drawstring waist shapes a straighter figure, and the skirt skims over the hips, giving a lovely, smooth look. The skirt flows behind you as you walk, giving off that real ethereal look. I’ve paired it with some white wedges and a drawstring bag, which goes perfectly with this style.

One of my favourite brands is Spell from Australia. This floral dress features a V-neck that accentuates the chest, and its fitted bodice and flaring skirt make you feel like you’ve nailed boho style. The dress will flow behind you as you walk, making you feel amazing. This style suits a wide variety of body shapes and will skim over a belly if that’s what worries you with some dress styles. What I like even more is that you can transition this dress from casual to dressy simply by changing the shoes. To find a perfect accessory colour, most people will try to match the brown in the dress. Instead, look for one of the least dominant colours and try to match that.
