I started working from home way before it became a thing because of Covid. To get my head into work mode, I used what I wore to help me get there. No, I didn’t dress up in a suit, but I made sure that what I was wearing made me feel good so I could get on with work without feeling like I was sitting around in my PJs all day.
Recently after being back in the office for a few years, I’ve started working from home again. Below you will find some of my favourite work from home combinations.
I have a real thing for long duster cardigans/coatigans. I find them versatile when travelling overseas as well as just as an everyday accessory. Here, I’ve used it to add colour to what could be a two-toned outfit. Not only are these two looks comfortable, there’s a casual polished look to it.
My favourite jeans are the Josefin style from 7 for All Mankind. Being a slim boyfriend, they fit perfectly and aren’t tight, making them comfortable to wear every day if you want. Instead of wearing a tee everyday I try to dress up my denim by pairing it with what I consider to be a pretty top. Also, if I have to go out, instead of wearing runners, I choose a nice pair of sandals or slingbacks to elevate my outfits.
Yes, I do have a paired-back look when I’m working from home. My non-negotiables are mascara and under-eye concealer. That’s the minimum I wear in case someone wants to connect online. On other days, I also pop on a BB cream. It gives me a light covering, so I don’t feel self-conscious if I need to hop on a call quickly.
